MY FIRST LOVE MY FATHER
MY FATHER GAVE ME THE GREATEST GIFT ANYONE COULD GIVE ANOTHER PERSON ,(HE BELIEVED IN ME (JIM VALVANO
I am super excited about this post because its my first blog post,and what better way than to appreciate and celebrate all the strong and great fathers ,father figures and male mentors out there.who have touched the lives of anyone :Be it your own kids ,other kids,your family,people you've mentored,people you've coached,and the world at large.
My father gave me THREE most precious things for my whole life ,One was "LOVE WITH SACRIFICE".The second" EDUCATION WITH SPIRITUALITY".And the third was "HUMILITY WITH SIMPLICITY"
Its fathers day already in Asia its going to be in some hours in Nigeria ,to make this post short let me tell you one of the many lessons my dad taught me and i have lived with it till now .There was this one time that we had some fire wood that needed to be cut down ,the man who was to do the job gave us a ridiculous price like it was so high that i got so upset with him for giving his price LOL i started to talk down at him saying things like are you a thief and all sort of mean things mean while i wasn't even the one paying him and i was all up there angry.i didn't know my dad was listening to my conversation with the man he just called me and asked why i was talking to the man that way ? and i said daddy this the price the man said he will cut the woods for and he asked me did you ask for a reduction and he refused ?the next question he asked me was if he refuses to cut the fire wood can you do that?he went on to say no matter if your paying people to get something done always be nice to them because it means you cant do it yourself.i tell you my life was changed that day.this just one of the many lessons my FATHER taught me i am so BLESSED to have such a man in my life as my father ,i APPRECIATE you DADDY and all fathers out there who work hard to take good care of their families we often silence the impactful role you fathers have played in our lives we love you and ALWAYS will .
